Application:
Magnesium anodes are used to provide anti-corrosion protection for domestic hot water (DHW) tanks made of steel and coated with ceramic enamel. They can also serve as anti-corrosion protection in DHW storage tanks made of stainless steel to protect other components (e.g., heaters, etc.).
The first inspection of the anode condition is recommended before 24 months of storage tank operation. In case of rapid wear, the anode should be replaced more frequently (every 12 months). If the wear occurs more slowly, replacement can be carried out every 18 - 24 months.
