Application:

Magnesium anodes are used to provide anti-corrosion protection for DHW (domestic hot water) tanks made of steel and coated with ceramic enamel. They can also serve as anti-corrosion protection in DHW tanks to protect other components (e.g., heaters, etc.).

The first inspection of the anode condition is recommended before 24 months of tank operation. In case of rapid wear, the anode should be replaced more frequently (every 12 months). If wear occurs more slowly, replacement can be carried out every 18 - 24 months.

It is recommended to use an anode with a stainless steel plug for tanks made of stainless steel.

The offered magnesium anode has a diameter of as much as 38 mm. This is the maximum diameter that fits into a 5/4" opening, which ensures a significantly longer exposure time compared to anodes with smaller diameters available from other sellers. Thanks to the larger surface area and magnesium mass, our anode provides more effective anti-corrosion protection and significantly extends the life of the tank.
